RANJI TROPHY |Samiullah Scores Ton, J&K Earn Lead Points|

J&K collected three points after taking the first-innings lead in their Group-C Ranji Trophy cricket match against Services at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Sunday.

Services’ Rahul Singh struck 182 to help team make 477 in first inning.  In reply, J&K gave a strong reply and made 612 for the loss of eight wickets with Shubham Khajuria (111) and Samiullah Beigh (109) recording centuries. Beigh was unbeaten when thIan Dev Singh (120), e proceedings ended on the fourth and final day at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. 

All-Rounder Parvez Rasool contributed 70 after returning figures of 5/117 with the ball.

Due to crucial knocks played by Samiullah, Amir Aziz and Parvez Rasool on last day of play J&K bagged three points from the match while as Services got only one.

Earlier Samiullah Beigh achieved the milestone of scoring his maiden Ranji trophy hundred as he helped J&K earn first inning lead.

Beigh who made his way back into Ranji trophy squad this year, joined Ian Dev and Shubham Khajuria in the century list of the match for J&K.

When JK was in need of the a decent inning to overtake Services first inning score of 477 , Samiullah stepped in and not only helped earn first inning lead points for his side but also scored his first Ranji hundred.

It took him 172 deliveries to achieve the milestone that included 10 boundaries and four sixes.

Amir Aziz along with Samiullah remained unbeaten on 59 runs while as Ram Dayal contributed with 36 runs.

Parvez Rasool for his all-round performance was adjudged as man of the match.
