Thursday 8th Dec 2016 witnessed yet another epic day in the history of Kashmir super league sponsored by Power Solution Industries as title sponsor. The evening witnessed the presence of all important Kashmiri personalities including Farooq Wasil ,Farooq Mirza ,Javed magrey ,Sajjad Shawl ,Imran Malik and Inayat Fazili and the list goes on.
The atmosphere was electric at lotus hotel apartments which hosted its first KSL auction event. The auctions were started by Inayat Fazili with his introduction speech followed by Mr. Farooq wasil and Farooq Mirza. Special words of support and encouragement were also given by Mr.Khursheed Wakil and Mr.Ajaz Rashid
Mushaid Hussain started the bidding process with Sajad Sofi who remained unsold as it became clear that Sponsors and team captains are looking for serious regular cricketers in their belly. The auctions were conducted in two phases , first phase auction was for key players which were 48 in total , key players included regular cricket playing boys and phase 2 for non key players who had not played KSL Edition 1 and players with unknown cricketing history. All players auctioned had previously undergone KSL EDITION 2 Registrations.
It was a night of pressure nerves for team captains and team owners and soon after the bidding started team owners looking tense and more concerned about bidding the right players into the team.

Majid Manzoor was taken by Lal Bazar Lions for 7300 points the highest in KSL history
Majid Manzoor Highest Sold KSL Edition 2 players – Lal Bazar Lions
Ubaid Lone was taken by Razekadal for 7100 points and Shabir Bhatt by Safakadal Stars for 7100 points. Both players ranked second in the bidding process.
Sufyan Farooq Ranked 3rd bidded for 6500 by Rajbagh Royals
Furkaan Ashiq & Nadeem Reshi bidded by Dachigam Hangul and Hokerser for 5900 points,both players ranked 4th in expensive list of KSL Edition 2
Nasir Khan Ranked 5th sold for 4500 points to Nawhatta Rebels
The auction process continued for 3 hours with more than 150 players auctioned. Almost 50 players remained unsold during the biding process. KSL Management later decided to accommodate these players equally to all teams so that all players get a fair chance to be part of the KSL Edition 2 Teams.
